This clinic is for Miracle League Players only and we encourage you to register early. The clinic will be held on Tuesday, June 4th, 8 am to 9 am. You must register to participate. RED KNIGHTS FUNDRAISER
The Florida Chapter 8 Red Knights is hosting the Third Annual Poker Run for Miracle League of Pensacola on June 8th 2013. Bike and 1st rider $20, additional rider $10, and extra poker hand $10. Every child deserves a chance to play baseball.
The Miracle League of Pensacola provides physically and mentally challenged children a safe and spirited program in which they can hit, run, and catch on a baseball field – just like other kids. MLP offers a unique and memorable opportunity these children would not otherwise have.
The Miracle League of Pensacola is a place where every player plays, every player hits, every player gets on base, every player scores, and every player wins – every inning. Players who need help with hitting, catching, and throwing the ball are paired with a “buddy” who helps out.
Rainer Maria Rilke, a German lyric poet at the turn of the 20th century, wrote: “This is the miracle that happens every time to those who really love; the more they give, the more they possess.” Watch a Miracle League game from the bleachers and you will be moved as you have never been moved at any other athletic event. It will be unforgettable, and you will be glad you were there. Then you will want to come back. Then you will want to do whatever you can to help.
